World card making day 2021

Did you know that it’s World Card Making Day today? To celebrate, I’m taking part in a hop over on Instagram with Time for Tea Designs, where the design team are each sharing a card made using their favourite technique!

It’ll come as no surprise if you’ve been following me for a while that my favourite technique is making shaker cards! As a bonus, this was a super simple card to make and took just over 30 mins!

I die cut a rectangle out of white card, just smaller than an A2 card. I then made an A2 top-folding white card base.

I used the Big Birthday Wishes die on the card front and stuck a piece of acetate behind it. I then chose some rainbow striped paper from the Brighter Days paper pad and stuck it to the card base, behind the die cut window.

Next, I placed some doubled-up foam tape around the die cut window and the edges of the card front. I filled the shaker window with clear sequins from Lucy’s Cards, then stuck the card front to the base.

Finally, I added some clay rainbow stars to the front of the card with liquid glue, and my card was done! Clean, simple and full of rainbow joy!

Happy World Card Making Day to you all, I hope you get a chance to do a bit of crafting today!
