Happy Friday!! I am really feeling the shift into autumn now, and I think that inspired my latest creation – this little gift tag with a space to pop in a gift card for your recipient’s favourite coffee shop. I love the autumnal colours that went into this 🙂

Here’s how I made my project:
To start, I cut the tag shape from Kraft cardstock, using the tag die from the Large Die set which is part of Time for Tea Design’s new memory-keeping release (which is amazing by the way – check it out if you haven’t already!). I did some partial die-cutting to make sure the tag was long enough to accomodate a gift card – I left the end of the die poking out from my die cutting plates, so the die cutting machine wouldn’t cut that end. I then marked where I wanted to trim the tag down to and trimmed it with my paper cutter. Here’s what I mean:

Next, I die cut one of the square label dies from TFT (the 6th smallest) which was just larger than the width of the tag. I scored it along 3 sides, where the little flap starts:

Next, I ink blended a coffee stain (using the T4T Coffee Stains stencil) onto the pocket using Gathered Twigs distress oxide. I then stamped, coloured and die cut the little coffee cup from the Coffee Lover stamp & die set.
Next, I white heat embossed the “love you a latte” sentiment from the same set onto some black card, and adhered it, along with the coffee cup, over the coffee stain, using foam tape for dimension.
To create the pocket, I folded the flaps from the pocket around the back of the gift tag, and secured in place with liquid glue:
I finished the tag by adding some little red heart sequins, and popped my coffee gift card into the pocket!

Thanks for stopping by, as always, I’m delighted to have you here!
