Hey friends, how are you? I made these cards back in November, but I never got round to sharing them, as I hadn’t edited the accompanying Reel! Anyway – here they are!
To start, I ran one of the Peaceful Pines Foil-Its through my laminator on the hot setting. I placed it in a folded piece of baking paper, with some Silver Fab Foil over the top to foil the panel, and it turned out beautifully.
I then used the co-ordinating Peaceful Pines layered stencils to add colour to the panel. I used my blender brushes to add Sea Glass, Aqua Sky and Dove dye inks from Concord and 9th (one colour for each stencil).
I used the Waffle Flower grip mat to hold my cardstock and stencils in place – it’s been a bit of a game changer in my craft room! It wipes clean really easily, too.
After I’d finished the first three stencils, I applied Midnight ink around the edges of the card, and then added white pigment ink through the final stencil to create the snow.
For my sentiments, I used Taylored Expressions’ Winter Wishes stamp set, and heat embossed the sentiments in Wow’s polished silver embossing powder (the shiniest silver I’ve ever known!). I then fussy cut them, and added them to my cards with foam squares.
Finally, I added the card panels to A2 card bases with foam tape.
If you’d like to see the video of the cards coming together, you can find it here:
Thanks as always for joining me and I hope to see you again soon!
