MFT Sketch Challenge – Gull Friend

You know how much I love a sketch challenge, so I was looking forward to another opportunity to use up my (significant) MFT Stamps stash with this week’s sketch!

I have the Torn Paper Edges die from MFT that was perfect for creating the edges on the sketch, and I decided to flip the sketch horizontally, and use the JB Lighthouse Gnomes stamp set to create a scene.

I stamped out the girl gnome and a seagull on to some white card, masked them off, then stamped the lighthouse scene in the background. I removed the mask and coloured my scene with Copics in the following colours:

I did some partial die cutting with the Torn Paper Edge die, to create the deckled edge on each side of the scene, then I die cut some pool and teal card stock with the same die, and layered them behind my scene. I trimmed the entire scene down to 5″ x 3.75″ and added it to an A2 white card base using tape runner.

I stamped the sentiment from the same set in the bottom right hand corner, and added a few white gel pen highlights to complete my card.

Do you enjoy colouring scenes like this? Let me know!
