I don’t often use glitter in my card making, but when I do, I go for it!

WOW! Embossing Powder’s brand-new release is here, and trust me, you’re going to LOVE it! This collection is all about shimmer, shine, and texture, with brand-new embossing powders, stunning hot foils, and eco-friendly sparkles!

For today’s project, I used Fire Red and Bordeaux Sparkles to create this clean and simple card that still really stands out. The colours and effects are just gorgeous, and I can already tell these products will be a staple in my craft room!

So, to create this little beauty, I masked off about half an inch around each side of an A2 card panel. I added embossing ink to the centre area, covered it in clear gloss and heat set. I then added the Fire Red and Bordeaux Sparkles over the top and heat set again. Then I added another layer of clear gloss and heat set. And another. And another. And another…. I think I did about 8 layers in total, until I got this beautiful, glossy, puffy, sparkly centrepiece to my card.

Because the glitter is the real showstopper, I wanted to keep the rest of the card simple, so I added a white leafy die-cut, and a simple sentiment.

I LOVE this technique, and I’ll be revisiting it again soon – just as well there’s plenty of gorgeous new colours available to play with! Speaking of which, you can check out the new release here:
