MFT colour challenge

It’s been a minute since I did a colour challenge, but the colour palette for this week’s MFT Stamps challenge was so easy to work with, the colours work together really well! It’s my daughter’s 5th birthday this week and she’s having a princess party (of course), so I went with the “Fairy-Tale Friendship” stamp set to create a birthday card for her.

I decided to mask off a vertical strip to the right of my card, and ink blend the light blue, teal and purple shades to create a background. I used Concord and 9th ink cubes in Aqua Sky, Oceanside and Fig. I added a little silver shimmer spray over the top for a hint of glimmer.

For the sandy colour, I used my Copics in E50/E51/E11 and E13 to colour in the castle, and the princess’ hair and skin. I also brought in the purple on her dress, and the flags – for these, I used V09, V17, V15 and V12.

Finally, I used the “You Deserve the Royal Treatment” stamp set for my sentiment. I like how clean and simple this card is!

Have a lovely crafty week and hope to see you all soon!
