I don’t know about you, but I am *so* excited that MFT Stamps have brought back their challenges! I fell in love with MFT Stamps years ago, when I first started card making, and I’m really happy that they are making a comeback.

The current challenge is a sketch challenge (you can find it here). I have taken a little creative licence with the sketch this time, because as soon as I saw the sketch I had an idea – I wanted to use the Wavy Rainbow Die-namics along with the JB Right on Track stamp set to create a music-themed card.
I die cut the wavy rainbow from various colours of Concord and 9th cardstock (I think they were: Honeysuckle, Buttercup, Clementine, Sprout, Harbor and Lilac), and assembled them in rainbow order on a white A2 card panel. I then stamped out some of the musical notes from the stamp set over the rainbow, and the record player underneath. I stamped the little cat with the headphones on a separate piece of cardstock and fussy cut him out, as I wanted to pop him up with foam squares later.

I coloured my images with OLO markers in the following colours, before adding white gel pen highlights:
Cat: W-G1, W-G3, W-G5, W-G7, R02
Headphones: C-G3, C-G5, C-G7, C-G9
Record player: W-G3, W-G5, W-G7, OR2.5, OR2.3
Record: C-G9, C-G5, OR2.5, OR2.3

To finish up the card, I heat embossed the sentiment on to black card (using Wow’s bright white embossing powder) and added it with tape runner to the card.
I hope you like it! It’s been a long time since I just crafted for fun, and this was the incentive I needed! I’m already looking forward to the next one!
