Introduction

I’m excited to be joining WOW Embossing Powder to celebrate their July 2024 release! It’s a BUMPER release, filled with Embossing Sparkles, Fab Foils and even a completely NEW product line; Mixed Media Additives!

The Design Team and special Guests are each sharing inspiration using this gorgeous new release and you’re invited to join the party! 🥳

WOW are generously offering THREE lucky winners the ENTIRE July 2024 release, and you can get all of the details on how to enter further down this post. First, let’s get straight to the inspiration!

For my card, I created three panels of glitter cardstock, using each of the three colours in the new Ice Crystals Trio (Pink Ice, Blue Ice and White Ice). For each, I cut an A2 panel of card, covered it in embossing ink, then applied the embossing glitter, before heat setting. I then die-cut the Floral Cover Die from Simon Says Stamp out of each of the three glitter panels, as well as from a white A2 panel. I glued a panel of acetate to the reverse of the white die cut, then flipped it right side up, and inlaid the butterflies and flowers that I’d die cut from my embossed panels.

I die cut another three white frames with the same die, and stacked them behind the acetate panel to create a shaker window. I stamped my sentiment (from this Bloom & Grow stamp set) to a grey notecard, and added some Earth Sparkles in Squid to the card front, before sealing it in with the shaker window.
