For my Hop project, I made this retro cool birthday card for my Dad, using Catherine Pooler’s Feelin’ Fizzy stamp set. I covered an A2 panel in embossing ink, covered half in Glass of Fizz and half with Sparkling Sunset (from the Night on the Town Duo), then heat set. I cut different widths of strips from my heat embossed card stock, and laid them across my A2 card on a diagonal, along with some strips made with Tarnished Brass embossing powder to make my background.
I trimmed down my card panel, then added it to an A2 panel of black and white striped paper from MFT stamps. I stamped my sentiment and two of the cola bottles in black ink, and die-cut with the co-ordinating dies. I added the “cola” with the solid colour stamp from the set, in Gathered Twigs distress oxide.
I added the sentiment and cola bottles with glue and foam tape for a mix of dimension, then added a few stars as embellishment.
