Guys, you might be able to tell, but I’m all about the challenges at the moment!

This week, I decided to make a card to fit in with both MFT’s weekly sketch challenge, and the current colour challenge – here are the two sets of challenge criteria:

And here is what I came up with:

Cute, right?? The card is for my daughter’s best friend, who is 4 today!

I started by cutting strips of patterned paper to make the three horizontal stripes on the sketch, and adhered them to an A2 scrap of paper. I then die-cut three circles from white card and added them with foam tape, as per the sketch.

Next, I stamped out three of the images from the Jenoblade Hang out and Celebrate stamp set, and watercoloured them with Karin Makers. To match the colours from the challenge palette, the markers I used were Arctic Blue, Canary, Turquoise and Orange Red. Once dry, I fussy cut them and added them to the circles with liquid glue, then added the entire panel to an A2 card base with tape runner.

I stamped the sentiment in the top right, from the same stamp set, and die-cut a “4” from sparkly gold paper. which I added to the balloon. Finally, I finished with some colour co-ordinating sequins.
