Ho, Ho…. Oh!

Hey guys, happy Monday! We’ve had a busy weekend, as this Saturday, a little puppy joined our family! He’s keeping us very busy, so I’m glad I’ve made plenty of Christmas cards in advance!

For today’s card, I used MFT’s essential alphabet dies to cut “HO” in a panel of white card. I did the same again underneath it, and then switched the letters around to make “OH”, for my amusing sentiment.

I used the chimney and Santa legs from the Stuffed Santa stamp set. I lined them up where I wanted them under the die cutting, and stamped the chimney first. Then, I stamped the Santa legs poking out from the top. To finish the mini scene, I stamped some presents alongside the chimney.

I trimmed my card panel down to about 3 x 5.5 inches, and matted it on to a red panel (Cranberry cardstock from Concord & 9th) which was 1/2″ wider and taller. By the way, the guillotine I use is the Tim Holtz one, which I love – not the new fancy pants one, just the classic ;).

I wanted to leave the scene uncoloured, but the card felt like it was lacking something, so I splattered over some gold paint from my Gansai Tambi metallic paint palette. I think the gold finished it off nicely and gave it a little festive touch.

Thanks for stopping by – until next time!
