MFT stamps fairground birthday

Hey crafty friends, thanks so much for joining me again today. Recently, MFT Stamps held a cardmaking competition, and I’ll admit, I made a few options for the Clean and Simple category before deciding which would be my entry! So this is one of the other cards I made.

I created a scene using the MFT Carnival Critters stamp set. First, I stamped out the kitty with the candyfloss, then masked the image off (I just used memo tape), and stamped the carnival scene behind it. I removed the memo tape, then coloured the image with Copics.

To frame my image, I die cut the MFT Polaroid shaker die three times, then glued them together to make a sturdy frame. I added some liquid glue to the back, centered the frame over my scene, and placed it down, trimming away any excess from around the edges.

I stamped the sentiment from the same set, at the bottom of the frame, with Versafine Onyx black ink.

My original plan was to place the framed image onto a white card base, but it looked a little *too* stark, so instead, I cut a piece of patterned paper from the Joyful Plaid paper pad, and added it to the bottom third of my card base using tape runner. I then placed my frame over the top.

I love this little card, and I hope you do, too! See you again soon!
