Christmas Tree shaker card with Pretty Pink Posh

You know when you see a craft supply that you just HAVE to have? Well, that’s how I felt about this Tree Cover plate die from Pretty Pink Posh! And of course, cover plates means… shaker card! (I know, I’m beyond help).

I die cut the cover plate from white card, and added a piece of acetate to the reverse. Then, I added thin foam strips around the edges, and vertically and horizontally, to create separate sections around each tree. I could then fill each section with a different colour of sequins or shaker filling.

To seal up the card. I removed the release paper from the foam strips, then placed my card base directly onto the top. For the sentiment, I heat embossed “Merry Christmas” from an MFT stamp set on to black card, and trimmed it down into a thin strip. I used foam squares to add the sentiment to the front, and that completed my card!

If you’d like to see my card coming together, check out my TikTok video (@card_days_night on TikTok).

And if you’d like to see what I did with the leftover trees that were cut from the panel, check out my YouTube video!
