Hey guys, how are you? Have you seen the new release from Rachelle Anne Miller? It features lots of scene builder images, that you can mix and match to create your own scenes! Today, I’m sharing a card using the “Special Day Owl” mini scene creator (by the way, if you use code JAYNEVAUGHAN, you’ll get 10% off!).

The scene builders are great because all the little characters and the sentiment in each set are separate files, so you can play with them to create the scene you want!

I coloured and fussy cut my owl, and then trimmed out the “hoot! hoot!” from the sentiment. The Copics I used were:

Owl: E44, E43. E42, E41

Branch: E29, E27, E25

For my background, I used the watercolor wash square stencil from MFT stamps, and placed it over a white A2 card panel. I ink blended Black Soot, Chipped Sapphire and Uncharted Mariner distress oxides through the stencil, then splattered over some white gouache.

I removed the stencil, and underneath, I stamped the sentiment “you ruffle my feathers” from Heffy Doodle’s Flock Star stamp set. To finish up, I added my owl and “hoots” with foam squares and thin foam strips.
