My friend recently asked me to make a congratulations card for her friends who had recently married. Their wedding invitations had cacti on them, so I decided to adapt a couple of the cacti from Clearly Besotted’s Prickly Plushies set.

I stamped the cacti with alcohol marker friendly black ink, then used a pencil to lightly sketch a veil on one cacti, and a bow tie on the other. When I was happy with them, I went over them with a black fine liner pen, before colouring the images with Copics. I didn’t use any masking for these images, so they were so easy to do!
I die cut a white panel using Pink & Main’s stitched rectangle nesting dies, then stamped the “congratulations” in black ink (from CB’s Simple Script set). I added my Mr & Mrs Cactus with foam tape, then used tape runner to add the panel to a white top-folding card base.

I hope you like it – I love how clean and simple it is, and I’m really pleased with how they turned out!
