Hooray!

I love this super bright and cheerful little celebration card! I made it for my lovely friend, who just aced the first year of her nursing course.

I started out by die cutting a panel of white card using my favourite Pink & Main stitched rectangle dies, then die cut the giant “Hooray” sentiment (by Lawn Fawn) from the centre.

I glued some acetate to the reverse of the panel, then added foam tape around the sentiment to create the shaker window, and the rest of the panel, so there would be no sagging.

Next, I cut down to A2 size one of the gorgeous patterned papers from the JJ’s Rainbows paper pad by Waffle Flower. I glued it to an A2 card base, then added clear sequins from Lucys Cards in the centre, before placing my shaker panel over the top.

To finish, I stamped, Copic coloured and fussy cut one of the little chicks from Mama Elephant’s Party Animals set and added him on with foam tape. The colours I used were:

Bird/star: Y17, Y15, Y11

Hat: B02, B01, B00
