Today I’m taking part in an Instagram Hop that is designed to encourage you to dig into that stash you’ve got sitting in your craft room, waiting to be used! It’s about using your existing supplies rather than buying new, which is something I’ve been trying to do a lot more this year!

This month’s theme is Beach. I had a rummage through my stamp bins and found this amazing Lazy Dayzzz set from Clearly Besotted that I haven’t had chance to use yet!

To make my background, I masked off the top section of my A2 white card panel, and applied some Wow embossing ink below it. I added some Wow Clear Ocean embossing powder and heat set to make the ocean. I then masked off the bottom section of the card and added some Wow Cake embossing powder between the masking paper and slightly overlapping the ocean, then heat set to make the sandy beach.

I then added some Frosted Lace Stickles between the ocean and beach to make it look like the foam on the shore! Using my MISTI, I stamped the sentiment underneath the scene in Versafine black ink.

I stamped, Copic coloured and fussy cut my images, and added them with foam tape for some dimension, and that finished up today’s card! I’m quite pleased with how it turned out, especially as the background was a total experiment!!
