Charlotte’s Naming Day

It was our youngest daughter’s naming day at the weekend, and of course I had to make a card to mark it!

I thought it would be appropriate to make a card with Charlotte’s name on it, so I used the Lea’s Ornate lower case alpha dies from Pinkfresh Studio to cut the letters from sparkly gold cardstock. I cut them again from foam and glued the gold cardstock over the top for some nice dimension.

For the background, I used the Folk Art slimline layering stencils, also from PFS, The colours I used were Concord and 9th: Parsley, Evergreen, Sorbet, Grapefruit and Honeysuckle.

I created the cardbase by die cutting two of the largest die in the Slimline Scallop Nesting Dies by T4TD, scoring one near the top and gluing the other on top. I then die cut another from the sparkly gold cardstock, glued the stencilled background to it, then added it to the cardbase.

I glued the letters over the background, then added a few raindrop jewels to finish.

I’ll also be entering this card in this month’s Simon Says Challenge (layering)!

Have a great, crafty day ❤
