Christmas in July

It feels very strange posting this card on the first day of a heatwave in the UK! But the current Lawn Fawn challenge is Christmas in July, so here we go!

I started out by ink blending an A2 sized panel of Neenah solar white classic crest 110lb card stock with festive colours: candied apple, picked raspberry, mowed lawn and evergreen bough. I then die cut a panel using the Lawn Fawn Quilted Heart backdrop die, and glued it over my blended panel with liquid glue.

I then stamped out the sloth and some baubles from the Eat, Sleep & Be Merry stamp set and coloured them with Copics.

I didn’t have a LF circle die so I used my circle cutter instead. I ink blended the circle with evergreen bough and mowed lawn, then added some dotted lines around the edge with a white gel pen.

I added the images to the circle with foam tape, then added the circle with foam tape to my card panel. Next, I heat embossed the sentiment on black card and also added this with foam tape.

I hope you enjoyed this early dose of festivity… I’m now off to sit in front of the fridge to cool down!
