It was Father’s Day yesterday, here in the UK, and I made my husband this “super” cute card to celebrate. My daughter LOVES the Avengers so this stamp set from Clearly Besotted (called Super Pug) was a must buy!!

I started by masking off the bottom portion of an A2 piece of watercolour card – I used Daler Rowney hot pressed paper. The masking tape I used was the Heffy Doodle blue tape, which I love, its so broad and low tack.
I stamped the cityscape image from the set in Wow! Embossing ink, and heat embossed with their super fine bright white powder. Then, I wet the area with clean water and applied colour with Karin markers.

The colours I used were: Black, Royal Blue, Arctic Blue and Cyan. I applied them directly to my craft mat, then picked the colour up with a watercolour brush and applied it to the card, darkest at the bottom, getting lighter toward the top.
After it dried, I stamped the sentiment in black ink and added the Captain America Pug from the stamp set, popped up with foam tape.

I Copic coloured the Pug, using the following colours:
Blues: B99, B97, B04. Reds: R35, R24. Whites: C1 for shading. Pug: E33, E51, E50 (face) and E25, E23 (mouth).
Of course, I finished by adding highlights with my beloved Gelly Roll pen, then used tape runner to add the card front to a card base.
I really enjoyed making this card! If you’d like to see the process in action, check out the reel on my IG!
Lots of crafty hugs XO
