Happy Friday, crafty friends. I’m glad it’s the weekend, it’s been a tough week! In fact, it’s been a tough few weeks and so I made this little card for my husband to thank him for all his support recently.

The main image is from the You Raise Me Up stamp set by Mama Elephant, which I absolutely love. It has such lovely sentiments in it, including the one I’ve chosen for my card, and “thank you for being there for me”, which I added to my envelope.

I coloured the critters using Copics, and added highlights with white gel pen. I then die cut the frame (using the Smile Inverted Scallop Frame dies from Time for Tea Designs) from white card, and the grass (using the Landscape Edge Standalone dies, also from T4T) from green.
I cut a panel of blue card the same size as the frame, and stencilled on some clouds with white pigment ink, using the Clearly Besotted Cloudy Day stencil.

I glued the grass to the reverse of the frame, and the critters to the front. I then added the frame to the top of the sky background using thin foam strips (including behind the critters so there would be no sagging).
I stamped and trimmed down the sentiment, and added it on with foam strips, then did the same with a couple of clouds from the stamp set. Finally, I added the finished scene to a UK A6 card base with tape runner.
I hope you enjoyed today’s card! Have a great weekend!
