Hey, crafty friends 😊 hope you’re all good! Today I’m sharing a card that my friend asked me to make to celebrate the arrival of her baby nephew, Jamie. She requested sloths and something 3D with his name on, so this is what I came up with!
I used one of my favourite stamp sets from Time for Tea Designs called Be Slothy. I stamped and coloured the images with Copics and then die cut with the co-ordinating dies.
I then die cut the box display card using the Heffy Doodle Big Shadow Box dies (there’s some great video tutorials on their YouTube channel). The gorgeous green card is from Seize the Stamp.
Before assembling the shadow box, I stencilled on the leaf pattern to the back panel with white pigment ink (the stencil is called Chic Chevrons by T4TD).
I cut some slim pieces of acetate and attached the two sloths on branches with liquid glue. I scored and folded the acetate at the end, so I could attach it with double sided tape to the sides of the shadow box, giving the impression that the sloths are hanging in the air.
I heat embossed the sentiment from the All Occasions Critters stamp set (also T4TD) in gold, trimmed it down and added to the top of my window. I die cut in gold the letters for JAMIE from a Honey Bee Stamps alpha dies set, and glued them to the front of the card, along with the other images.
And that’s my card, done! Apparently it was well received, so that’s always nice to know! Thanks for joining me and I’ll see you soon!
