Otterly amazing – Hello Bluebird

Hey crafty friends, hope you had a lovely weekend. Today I’m sharing a card that I made with my long-awaited Hello Bluebird supplies!

I started out by creating my seashore background. I used my blender brushes to ink blend the following Concord and 9th colours: Wheat (for the sand), then (lightest to darkest), Aqua Sky, Sea Glass and Oceanside for the water. I sprinkled some water over the background then absorbed it with a paper towel to add some “watery” texture, then stamped on the waves from the Otter Friends set by Hello Bluebird, in Oceanside and Sea Glass.

Next, I stamped and coloured (with Copics) a couple of the otterly adorable otters from the set, as well as the fish and the reeds, and fussy cut.

I then die cut from Neenah Class Crest 110lb white cardstock, the Gallery Frame #6 die (also Hello Bluebird) and popped it up with thin foam strips over the background. I die cut the “hello” from the same set three times and stacked them together for dimension, and ink blended some Sea Glass on the bottom half. I glued the “hello” in the centre panel, and added the other elements with a mixture of foam tape and liquid adhesive, so that everything was equally popped up.

I heat embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set using Antique Gold embossing powder from Wow! Embossing, on to some white card, then also added this with foam tape. Finally, I added some clear sequins to finish my scene.

I hope you enjoy this card! See you all again soon, with some more Hello Bluebird goodies, no doubt!
