Bokeh valentines card

It’s finally February… Did anyone else think that January lasted forever? As its now the month of love, I thought I’d share this LOVE-ly card I made using the Love Intertwined die by Time for Tea Designs.

I started by making my bokeh background. I ink blended some pink and red shades of Distress Oxides in fairly random patches over my card stock. Next, I applied some Hero Arts Unicorn White pigment ink through the Bokeh Bubbles stencil from T4TD. I shifted the stencil and applied another layer of white ink with more density, until I was happy with the coverage.

Next, I die cut the Love Intertwined die from the bokeh panel and kept the die cut pieces to one side. I then die cut it again from black card, and just kept the outline piece. I glued the die cut pieces from the bokeh panel onto my black card base, using the window in the panel as a guide to make sure they’d be in the right place.

I glued some acetate to the reverse of the bokeh panel, then glued the black outline into the opening in the panel.

I added a double layer of foam tape to the bokeh panel, around the LOVE die cut, then filled the shaker window with clear sequins. Then, I added the panel to the card base so the bokeh die cut pieces all lined up.

Finally, I stamped the word “sending” from the You Got Mail stamp set onto some white card, trimmed it down, and attached it to the card front.

Thanks for stopping by again, I appreciate it! And as always, you can use my discount code T4TJAYNE10 for 10% off anything from the Time for Tea store.
