Tulip bookmark

Do any of you guys follow Mona Toth on Instagram? She’s so inspirational and a few months back she made a see through shaker bookmark and I instantly fell in love with the idea (hardly surprising given that shakers and bookmarks are two of my favourite things πŸ˜‚).

I used the new tulips add-on slimline die from T4TD, cut four pieces of lilac card to the exact size of the die, then ran each one through my die cutting machine so I knew they’d line up perfectly.

I then cut two pieces of acetate to be fractionally smaller than the bookmark. I used liquid glue to adhere them to the back of two of the bookmark pieces. I then glued another bookmark piece over the top of each one, sandwiching the acetate in.

I then added my shaker filling (a gorgeous mix from Lucy’s Cards that feels like spring to me!) into the tulip windows in one of the two bookmark pieces, and glued the other on top. There’s not much room for shaking, but it needed to be thin enough to be a bookmark, too!

I finished by punching a hole in the top and threading a piece of ribbon through. All done! Shaker bookmark 😊
