Space shaker card

Hey everyone, hope you’ve had a fantastic weekend! Friday was a sad day for us work-wise as we lost one of our amazing team members, who left to pursue another opportunity. However, I’m so pleased for her and she’ll totally smash her new role!

I had a galaxy background leftover from last week (see my previous post) and I thought it would make a perfect “new job” card when paired with Heffy Doodle’s Spaced Out stamp set. I love coming up with different ideas for using the same supplies, to really get my money’s worth!

I decided to make a whole card shaker, so I trimmed my background down to A2 size, then cut a piece of acetate so it was about 1/4 inch wider on each side. I scored the edges and folded it round the background on 3 sides, adhering it with tape runner. I then added these amazing star shaker fillings from Lucy’s Cards and sealed up the last side.

I stamped, copic coloured and fussy cut the space images and adhered them in place with liquid glue. Finally, I heat embossed the sentiment in white on to black card stock, and added this to the centre. I attached the finished panel to an A2 card with more tape runner.

Shakey, shakey, shakey!

Have you tried a whole card shaker before? I absolutely love them!
