Tree of Life shaker card

Hi everyone! It’s been a while since my last blog post, as I’ve been so busy with work and childcare I’ve barely found time to craft, let alone blog!

However, the new release from Time for Tea Designs is out today so I can finally start showing off some of the cards I’ve been making with the new goodies!

I absolutely love how this card turned out, and it was so simple to make. I started by die cutting the Tree of Life cover plate die from Neenah Solar white Classic Crest 110lb card. Next, I chose the sequins I wanted – I was looking for something with a spring vibe and this Lullaby sequin mix from Little Things by Lucy was exactly what I was after.

I chose the colours for my ink blended panel to match the sequins – spun sugar, tattered rose, twisted citron and bundled sage. I ink blended in that order, top to bottom.

Next, I adhered some acetate to the back of the tree die-cut, folded some foam tape in half lengthways to make it really thin, and stuck this around the edges of the panel. I used some anti static powder on the acetate and filled the panel with the sequin mix.

I placed the ink blended panel down on top of the shaker panel to seal in the sequins, then used liquid glue to attach the whole thing to an A6 card base. Last but not least, I used foam tape to attach the sentiment strip to the tree trunk (sentiments are pre-made ones from TFTD’s new release and are such a time saver!!).

Thanks for joining me again! See you all soon.

Oh, also, I have a discount code that will get you 10% off your order at Time for Tea Designs – it’s TFTJAYNE10 🙂 Happy shopping!
